Now that the new space telescope is facing away from the sun
And held firmly in place, we can look through infrared eyes,
Deep into interstellar space and time. Everyone

Can now see the most distant orb, glowing faint red, which lies
Some 300 million light years away from the Big Bang,
Birthplace of our universe. This image, like a gift to the human race,
takes us much closer to that perplexing moment when matter sprang
from the void. It is James Webb’s oldest remnant of that creation in space.
